Thorncombe Street Cottage is a Victorian estate workers house of modest proportions.
The house was completely reconfigured to offer a more open-plan way of living and to improve the size of the family kitchen. Small rooms have been knocked together and a new extension to house a dining area added. Timber floors were installed throughout and a neutral cohesive consistent colour scheme to enhance the feeling of light and space.
A stunning kitchen from Plain English with a free-standing central island and retention of the kitchen fireplace means this lovely space feels authentic and timeless.

The Result
A light filled, warm and welcoming country cottage which is well-suited to family life. Stunning use of natural materials and an earthy natural colour palette which reflects the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside.
